It’s always other people who don’t clear their child of head lice.
The common reaction to finding your child has head lice is to blame someone else – be it another child for giving it to your child or another parent who hasn’t checked or cleared their child.
The healthiest thing for everyone is to not blame others but to get on with clearing your child and checking all the family, and then sharing your findings with all the other Mum’s so they are alerted to checking also. Often if people aren’t reminded that there is a problem in the friendship group or class they will not remember to look.
Sharing this intelligence with those close to you is very helpful to everyone. Tell school so they can alert everyone too. Another way to look at it is to remember that others may be working at clearing their child but if they are relying on the products that don’t quite work then they won’t be effective.
So don’t promote the products but instead talk amongst yourselves promoting nit combing with conditioner, because it is much more effective.
